To honor this significant milestone, Walvoil made a monetary contribution to the local theMission Center.
On Tuesday, November 12th, Walvoil team members Bill Counts, Rachel Bowers, Jason Jordan, and Shannon Parsons officially presented the donation.
Brenan Fulton, Executive Director of theMission Center, guided them through the facility, highlighting the personalized counseling services offered to individuals and families providing them the opportunities to access food, personal care items and clothing.
theMission Center is a community-focused organization dedicated to providing support and services to individuals and families in need. It offers a variety of programs aimed at alleviating poverty, including food assistance, clothing, and emergency financial help. The center also hosts community events and works with local churches and other organizations to address the social and economic challenges faced by the residents of Owasso, OK and surrounding areas.
Additionally, theMission Center provides donated furniture, hosts senior food delivery services and conducts a quarterly car care clinic for single mothers and widows. The facility relies on the dedication of around 120 volunteers each week, to serve an average of 100 families weekly. So far this year, theMission Center has assisted 1,054 unique families, that represent 3,637 individuals, who have utilized their services for food, personal care items and clothing a total of 3,732 times.
